The Parents and Citizen’s Association ("the P&C") is an active group of parents and interested citizens committed to supporting the Bulimba State School Community.

Working together with the school Principal and staff, P&C strive to enhance the learning and social environment, for all students at Bulimba State School.

P&C General Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month on the second floor of B Block in the LOTE room. The P&C Annual General Meeting is held in March where all executive positions are vacated for new nominations.

There are several sub-committees: Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), Swim Club and Tuckshop; with a Safe Travel Group plus an active Grants writing group.

The P&C key purposes are outlined below

• To encourage closer cooperation between the parents, members of the community, the staff and students
• To provide advice and recommendations to the Principal on issues & concerns around the operation of the school
• Foster parent participation and involvement in the school
• Be the forum for parents to discuss issues pertaining to the school and its community and for gathering opinions
• Promote and support communication and cooperation within the school community
• Provide extra resources for the benefit of students

Unfortunately Governments budgets don’t stretch to cover all the items we require. Parental involvement with fundraising activities is so important to raise the funds to purchase these valuable and much needed resources.
